Did you know, as a sensitive person, you are armed with a set of gifts and imbalances?

As the Sensitive Doctor, I’ve invested countless hours, resources, and energy into the concept of sensitivity. I now know that there are 6 types of sensitivity:

✨ Mental
✨ Emotional
✨ Chemical
✨ Energetic
✨ Social

Each of these sensitivities can manifest as gifts or imbalances in our lives. For example: one of my sensitive gifts is emotional sensitivity. I am quick to understand other’s feelings and can connect on a deeper level. And my imbalances? To start, I’m quickly burdened by energetic sensitivity. In other words, I can easily experience anxiety and chronic fatigue.

Psycho ᐧ Neuro ᐧ Immunology

Psychoneuroimmunology, or PNI, describes the close relationship three bodily systems:
✨ Immune
✨ Nervous
✨ Endocrine

The impacts of immunity, neurology, and endocrinology on one another is significant. Now, it’s our job to learn how to use this substantial connection to our benefit.

Trauma and gratitude both have roles to play in this 3 way connection.

Case and point: Research has shown that those with PTSD are at higher risk for autoimmunity. This is a prime example of how PNI works in the mind and body. Alternatively, gratitude has actually been shown to reduce inflammation, improve sleep, and boost mood. Thus, improving PNI function!

While personality types are taken into consideration for careers and employment, relationships, and education, knowing your personality type can be a game-changer when it comes to your health.

Here’s what I mean: certain personality types are more vulnerable to sensitivity and chronic illness. But, that’s not all. An effective approach to healing will vary depending on your personality type.

Case and point.. For the Introvert, a group exercise class might sound like a “healthy practice.” But in reality, it can end up feeling overwhelming and too stimulating. While an Extrovert would respond better to a group workout, an Introvert might be better suited to a solo workout at home.

Knowing your personality type gives you the advantage in your healing journey!

Sure, we’ve all heard the term before. But, do we actually understand what it means?

EMFs = Electric and Magnetic Fields. And, these fields have flooded our world.

EMFs are most known for emitting radiation from cell phones, microwaves, laptops, and other digital devices, but they also emit from surprising, less known sources, such as: blender, coffee makers, vacuums, and more.

But, there’s more.

Not only are EMFs surrounding us in our day-to-lives, they can negatively affect our health–mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Interoception provides you with messages from inside the body.

For example…
👉 Physical cues include: hunger, thirst, heartbeat, respiration, temperature, or elimination
👉 Emotional cues include: butterflies, frog in your throat, or bring sick to your stomach

Interoception is exceptionally prominent in those with physical sensitivity (just 1 of 6 sensitivities).
